Blog 3: My Future Job

 Hi everyone

Today I'm going to talk about my future job!

    My future job is to work as a psychologist with communities. I would be able to do intervention, study, ethnography, but more than anything than I would like to working with group therapy.

    I would like to work in person, because I want to work with people, it seems that in community psychology the job is necessary face to face, also is dynamic and demanding.  The work online is bouring, tedious and slow to me. I find it hard to concentrate after a long time being still.

    In my ideal job I would like to travel a lot of, also I would stay a season in each place and I like this because I can meet the context where people are developing. 

     Practice of community pychology requires comunicational skill. The psychologist must be able to initiate talks.. The psychologist have to guide of conversation or debate to objetive and produce consensus among people, in order to facilitate community processes and learn about their needs.

    In order to have my future job, I must complete the internship and the diploma, as well as the thesis. I plan to do the diploma in family systems, but I still have no idea what thesis I will do.

 Hi everyone After seeing "Back to the Future" I, II and III the time travel to the past doesn't seem like a good idea, because I could accidentally change history - I want to be born-. However, it is undoubtedly tempting. Still, time travel to the past as a historical tour sounds interesting. I would travel to The United States during the 1920's, because in these years there was a culture movement that marked the 20th century.  I would visit New York or New Orleans. In New York I would like to go to speakeasies of the era like the Cotton Club, 21 Club or 300 Club and listen to the great bands of the era. I would like to see buildings with art deco architecture and their inaugurations, the old metro stations that are closed today, also the arrival of the first telephones and people talking on the telephone for the first time. Blog 5: Change to my study program

Hi everyone, How is your day? I am studying psychology and I would like to change in curriculum the quantity of  practical activities. I would like to increase practical activities and that this dosen´t focus on investigational model. I would include more courses focused on clinical intervention, because the career gives enough theoretical contents, but few content for practical intervention. Also I would include more courses that introduce to procedure of the Ministry of Health, since while I was on pregrade I had a single course that address matter and the other course were superficially mention. In relation to faculty facilities I would change seat allocation in the Aularios, because when the class in with 120 students, it is not heard in the back of the classroom.
